It is with great pleasure that we can officially announce the Royal Horseguards Hotel has been voted amongst Britain’s top 35 hotels by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler in the magazine’s 25th annual Readers’ Choice Awards.
It is an honour for the Royal Horseguards to be included in this prestigious list with a reader satisfaction rating of 87.8 out of 100, adding this award to other respected accolades won by the hotel including the AA London Hotel of the Year 2010-2011, the Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice 2012 and the Tea Guild Award of Excellence 2012.
Niels Sherry, the general manager of the Royal Horseguards, was particularly pleased to receive the accolade – especially in the year of the Olympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee – and said:
“It’s a fantastic achievement to be acknowledged by such a respected publication, and even more so because the readers themselves are responsible for putting us there. After a spectacular summer of cultural events including the Queen’s Jubilee and the Olympics, all eyes have been on the UK, so to come out on top is a great honour.”
We are also pleased to reveal that, perhaps unsurprisingly, Conde Nast Traveler’s readers also voted London the UK’s ‘best city’ in this year’s awards – an award the capital undoubtedly deserves.
Thank you if you personally voted for the Royal Horseguards in this – or any other poll. Thanks too if you voted London as ‘best city’. We hope you will enjoy your next stay with us – and in London – just as much, if not more so.
